A year ago, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, made the historic announcement of his intention to resign as Bishop of Rome, and to devote himself to prayer and solitude. He has since described his prayerful support of the pontificate of Pope Francis as his "only and final work."
Pope Francis, on this anniversary, has invited us to join him in prayer for His Holiness Benedict XVI, "a man of great courage and humility."
