United in Prayer...Corpus Christi Procession

Pope Francis has called for every diocese in the world to join in prayer in the Presence of the Blessed Sacrament for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) which falls this year on Sunday, June 2.  This is a part of the Year of Faith celebration initially convoked by Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. 

Where possible, it is requested that the prayer be planned to coincide with the service being held in the Vatican at 5 p.m. Rome time, which is 11 a.m. our time.

At the end of the 10 a.m. Sunday Mass (at or about 11 a.m.) our parish will have a Corpus Christi Procession through the streets of our neighbourhood.  On this day a number of our young parishioners will be making their First Communion and will take part in the procession.  All are welcome!
